(Not so) daily drawing 2025 day 288:
More legends Z-A art bc it's a lot of fun. Shoutout to that one side tunnel, 10/10 alcove to cry in while you accept your imminent death via giant angry spinny bug 💯😭
Been working on this for a while now! Murilo catches his pokemon by battling them while having Silvio as a healer! He may fight until they're both exhausted, but he will not have his win by taking advantage of his opponent, they'll need to be on the same level. With Jack, it was a tie! He let Murilo catch him because he thought he finally found a human that is worthy of being his trainer.
What is your FUCKING problem?? ????!?!!!!???!?!?!
[ID: My character in Pokemon Legends: Z-A is trying to sneak past an alpha sharpedo. It spots her and she bolts away before the Pokemon hurls itself onto dry land just to chase her down. By the end she’s climbing a ladder to a nearby rooftop, and the sharpedo is still staring up at her, trying to attack despite the long distance. /End ID]

BW Survival AU - lesson 7
The once rich & diverse biomes of Unova are now cold & quiet. The dusty deserts are now icy tundras, the lakes & wetlands frozen over. Blizzards, hailstorms, & even thundersnow regularly blow through the region.
When the skies were calm though…that’s when it can be the most dangerous.
Wild Unovan Pokémon have become as harsh as their icy world had become. Those that hadn’t migrated, hibernated, or sought shelter underground or in caves, reigned with the kind of viciousness that comes from broken trust with humans. Ice types dominate, & only the strongest still roam openly in the wild.
Ansy held her breath, more out of habit than need, as the small pack of Duraludon tromped through, led by a towering, red-eyed Alpha Archaludon.
Ikrit, also out of habit, took out his (silenced!) Pokédex app to learn about the species. From what he read, he quickly decided he wanted to bring one on his team.
…But maybe not from this pack.
Lesson 7: Pick your fights.
—
I forgot Ansy didn’t have Sora in this timeline (though you CAN catch Castform). Maybe she can take Cirrus or Nimbus’ spot?
I’d been working on blog post about the Pokédex in this AU (which yes, does include Pokémon we found in Blueberry Academy) when I remembered this lesson I wanted to share for some time now.
This past year, I’d go through phases of wanting to just engage or just disengage. I hope in this next year I can find a better balance between these two responses to hostility - only give the fights worth my time / energy my attention while walking away from the ones that aren’t.
How do Alpha genes work? Do they just randomly show up or do Alpha-sizes pass through the parents?
alpha pokemon are actually a result of environmental/behavioral factors more than anything else. aggressive pokemon with access to greater amounts of resources are able to grow stronger much more quickly; their great size seems to be a secondary effect caused by the sheer influx of life energy and hormones. a pokemon that naturally grows to a larger size than average may have a slightly higher chance of reaching alpha status, but genetics don't really play into it much aside from the fact that temperament has a genetic aspect.
the sudden appearance of so many alpha pokemon in lumiose has been attributed to all of the mega energy pouring off of ange. all of that energy gave pokemon that had already started dominating parts of the city the final push they needed to become alphas.
