When she was alone and all the animals and residents were asleep the silence of the darkened house could be almost unbearable. There were times when even escaping to the park or a seedy bar weren't enough. But now, now he was there. Now the silence was alive, comfortable, it was warm in a way she never could seem to articulate.
He wiggled his arm out from under her and a small breath escaped in complaint at the jostling, even if she knew what it meant. That was fine enough though and she used the opportunity to drape her legs across his lap in response. Getting closer, that was always fun. He kissed her face and she nuzzled in to breath sweet exhales into his neck and the crook of his shoulder. Did he know that he didn't have to talk around her? Avara hoped so.
There were times when she suspected his talking was meant as a distraction for his own mind, and she wasn't sure there was anything she could do to help him with that.
His mouth grazing her ear gave the dark haired woman a shiver, and with an indirect reply she leaned up to give him a firm kiss.
