i think ☝️ susie has hearing issues of some kind and so when she doesn’t hear people she accidentally goes “what?” way too loud and it gets interpreted as aggression but really she just doesn’t have great volume control. and it really annoys her how people dont repeat things very often because they assume shes being rude…

Deltarune Chapter 3 headcanons/things I want to see (Spoilers, updated 26 Nov)
Spoilers for Chapters 1 and 2. These likely won’t happen but it’s just my predictions for them.

If I wrote Deltarune Chapter 3
The next Dark World will be in Toriel’s home but mainly the TV, and Toriel will join us as this chapter‘s party member.
Toriel can be manipulated into burning the Darkners if the Player make Kris pretend to be scared and that the Darkners are out to hurt them.
The main boss would be (continued down the “influential figures named after chess pieces”) called Rook. The word rook can be a noun for the chess piece, a noun for a gregarious Eurasian crow, and a verb meaning to swindle, so they’ll be a bird monarch who acts like a con-artist. Rook would be the host of various public broadcast TV channels. They would attack with electric currents in their boss fight.
Rook was Kris’s non-monster pet bird (because they do have a birdcage) who Kris had when they were a younger kid and whom “flew away”
(the reality was that the soft rubbery coating of TV cords are chewy and an enticing toy for pet birds. Toriel and Asgore didn‘t tell the truth because Kris was such a young child.)
Near the Victory Road/finale, Rook would put Toriel and Ralsei in a cooking show, Susie into an action special, and Kris into a special gameshow for “their SOUL”.
(Rook is not aware the SOUL isn’t Kris)
The thing about Rook is that they’re not the only one doing the swindled, they‘re the one who had been swindled by their former co-host Mike, who they’d put in prison (in the light world : the pay-per-view private telecast channel.)
It would be revealed (maybe by the sepia-toned screens that Ralsei uses when telling lore) that, some time ago but within Ralsei’s own lifetime, all the Dark Worlds were connected together with the Castle Town being the centre.
They all split apart somehow. Before the split, Spamton is just a regular salesperson. Mike was a baker spider protagonist for a cartoon show that was cancelled for being “too liberal”, as in, showing a gay character in the nineties and for not making enough money, and he was once upon a time Spamton’s buddy. He convinced Spamton to pick up the phone for every call as well so as to make him successful, because he knew what it was like to be left behind, not knowing the Knight would corrupt Spamton.
(Yes, Mike is the Shadow Crystal Holder for the Home World)
When the worlds split, Mike was dragged into the Home domain. He began acting like a parental figure to the domain‘s child monarch Rook and told them that, by letting a Lightner with a powerful SOUL reach the Fountain, this Dark World would be sealed with the Fountain and they would all cease to exist. (Mike wanted to make sure Rook, a kid, was occupied by something while he ran shows and capitalised off of everyone.)
Rook, having witnessed the calamity that occurred when the world Split, believed so, and that’s why they intend to destroy the Red SOUL (and consequently “support the advancement of” Kris, a Pawn, as Rooks could to do in Chess). When Rook found out that they’d have to kill someone for that to happen, they refused because they are a ghost and knew how brutal and painful it had been to die (and come back), and that Mike has been hosting all the shows on her behalf, she had Mike imprisoned.
”Please, Mike, pick up the phone.” He can’t, the TV’s been unplugged. He’s a cartoon character and can’t exist outside the TV. During the time the TV was unplugged (since Asriel went away to college and there had been no one to play Smash with Kris) he just… straight up disappeared. …and when Spamton still begged for him while battling the Fun Gang he literally doesn’t have access to a phone, being in, you know, prison.
Player will get the option to make Kris be friends with Rook and assure them that nobody will cease to exist if Kris can get them to Castle Town, and merge the Home World with the Card Castle and the Cyber City.
There’ll be another cutscene of Susie bonding with Toriel, where Ralsei will speak to Kris without Player witnessing the conversation, and if the Player attempts to stop the cutscene then, then Ralsei will address Them directly (see my other theory here). Or : the Player can attempt to gain Ralsei’s trust with ‘kind’ sounding options but if the Player uses Toriel goes on a murder spree again he will know.
It‘d be literally hilarious if Toriel doesn’t recognise Ralsei as Asriel at all. (Asriel, I imagine as being a tall popular good-boy chad who’s at least 18, hence being older, maybe more expressive, individualistic and aware of his identity/place in the world, and not.. soft and fluffy.)
Chairiel and the chair across it, Chaisgore, are divorced.
Kris after Ralsei tells them that he senses the presence of a new and holy Dark Fountain : ”Mom, Susie and I are going to church, you take all the furniture in this house to the closet at school and plug the TV in”
”All of it?!”
Other Headcanons
Asgore will make a physical appearance in the hospital to visit Rudy.
Susie is homeless. Toriel will find this out and let her stay in the Dreemurr house.
Non-chronological but I feel like it’s relevant : a different spin on Noelle’s mother. Mrs. Holiday didn’t intend to be malicious or abusive but she genuinely doesn’t have much time, reasonably is depressed after Dess died, and believed that by being strict enough to keep Noelle in line unlike the adventurous Dess, nothing bad would happen to her youngest. There was a time before Mrs. Holiday was mayor, and Dess and Noelle were both Mama’s Girls.
Rouxls attempts to flirt with Queen who rebuffs him beyond embarrassment.
We shall finally get to see Papyrus Our Beloved, but he’ll be an up confident, lonely kid or tween.
Undyne and Alphys will officially meet in Ch.3 and it is absolutely hatred at first sight. For the ongoing chapters, they will have a little Enemies to Lovers arc going in the background.
Chara is a monster (if I had to give them an appearance : a cream and chocolate brown cow monster), completely harmless (unlike fan interpretations that villainise them) and actually having the sanguine nature the narrator will have in the Pacifist Route of Undertale, and is Asriel’s roommate at university.
We get the church as a Dark World for Chapter 4, the villain being a very appropriately named Bishop.
So at the beginning of Chapter 2, when Kris goes alone to get all the darkners from the empty classroom, you can go toward the front of the school with all the items on your head.
