The Himalayan Monal Bird is one of the most beautiful and colorful birds in the world. With its dazzling rainbow-colored feathers and striking metallic shine, it is often called the “Jewel of the Himalayas.” Found in the rugged mountain forests of South Asia, this remarkable bird is admired by birdwatchers, photographers, and nature lovers alike. Known scientifically as Lophophorus impejanus,…
Another view of the valley behind Mt Pilatus. Oh, and another of “those birds”. This is may be one of my best shots of them because they were forever on the move.
Those birds! Don’t know what they are, but they’re always there up in the Alpine heights, here the Jungfraujoch

The Kea
The Kea Bird; The worlds only snow-inhabiting parrots, they live in the alpine environments of the south island of New Zealand, and, they are thought to be the Smartest parrots in the world and even rumored to be up there with monkeys and other primeapes!
Scientists have set up many puzzles which have determined that Kea's are one of the few species of animals that can actively problem solve!
They are so smart, infact, that they get bored with their daily lives, and so they play games (Even the wild ones who have never been in captive!) One of their favourites is to dismantle human vehicles - Particularly windscreen wipers and aerials!
