Oooh that looks nice! So cosy.... I always wandered how ppl are doing screenshots under the roof and just recently discovered you can do that using camera mode, but in the play mode I'm always pushed above the roof. So I can't play in attic lots, because I hate to see the sky above my sims head. Otherwise house like that looks really great to live in.

Yeah, that is a bummer. Some enterprising modder needs to make a live camera mod that allows gameplay with roofs up. It’s certainly beyond my skills.

Still, I build such houses. I don’t mind the open sky over the pixels’ heads because much of the time I play with ceilings turned off and walls cutaway, anyway. I just put everything up to take pics. I guess I just like the realism of attic/multistory spaces, plus IRL I’m a bit of claustrophobe, so I build houses that I could tolerate living in in that regard.

In this particular case, most of the house -- the kitchen/dining area, the bedrooms, the family/TV room, etc. -- is not multistory and has proper ceilings. It’s only the formal living area that’s open, and that’s only the space outlined in red in the pic below:

I was calculating pregnancy outcome chances as per the WRC rules, but I forgot to do it for Parvana.  She survives... for now!

One less toddler is always a good thing! :D

It is, indeed!  Although, I think I have figured out the best way to get them trained.  Potty training for everyone, and toddler skills being taught to the oldest first.  I am playing with Hat’s Ageing mod, so they all have longer lifespans, but all my Sims start at random ages throughout their specific lifespan.

Thanks!  I love how these two houses turned out.  Unique, but still fit in with the other builds in this ‘hood!

It’s still on it’s way, but I am building up a new downloads folder for it.  I will need to take it to my local tech shop and have Win10 stripped in favour of Win7 or 8.

The horses are great.  I haven’t had a Sim train them to ride yet, but I love that function!

Yeah, I actually do that a lot xD and then I have to keep myself from posting every single shower/bath pic I take. Would probably seem kinda creepy otherwise.

Nice anvil he's got there. ;) (That reminds me, I *really* need to fix the code on the crafting items so they stock from the Sim's inventory and not from the catalogue, totally overlooked that when I made this. :/ )

He has a very nice anvil!  A fix would be welcome if you have the time and inclination to do so.  I have been making sure he has adequate stock in his inventory and deleting each items once it has been restocked from the catalogue.  Tedious, but it’s working!

Do you also use them to shape the story you have in your head about a Sim? Because some traits don't have any modded behaviour linked to them yet, or only very specific things... do you really find that you notice it during playing?

I was planning to, but it’s all kind of gone out the window in these ‘hoods, as they have become more a gameplay ‘hood, rather than a story telling ‘hood.  I am in the process of reorganising my downloads folder (which is including recategorising accessories as jewellery, bundling everything I can, and flagging clothes to group themes together) in preparation for a GoT AU storytelling ‘hood.  In the new ‘hood, I will be more likely to handpick traits for the main players (e.g. the Great Houses) and randomise the traits for the background characters (e.g. Sims who will be played but not necessarily included in the story), and the un-modded traits will come more in to play then, with guiding what the characters do without it actually happening in the game.

Prettyyyy! I like the seahorse too, the silhouette is really striking among all of these! And I should probably just google this but... What kind of challenge is a WRC? ^^

WRC stands for Warwickshire Renaissance Challenge, and is by Heloise at PBK and MTS.  It is an incredibly detailed in-depth challenge,which outlines pretty much every aspect of Sims lives, from rules around social classes, betrothals, illness, education, employment, and even down to the behaviours and Sims do.  I have been studying it for several years, and think I have finally got my head around how it works, so will use it as the base of my GoT mega-hood.  The WRC challenge is best played with an established ‘hood, and it is a good challende to continue from Vllygrl’s MCC.  I have also used aspects of the WRC in my MCC ‘hoods.

Mucking around in Photoshop is all kinds of fun! Although, I tend to get really into it when I should be doing other things. Like sleeping, for instance. :) And I like the seahorse one! But then, I have a fondness for seahorses in general, so yeah. :)

I tend to get really in to anything when I’m meant to be studying,cleaning the house or mucking around in SimPe for the hundredth time.  I really like how the seahorse turned out.  I probably need to find a Photoshop tutorial to really get the mos tout of it, but I’m happy just trying things out for now.
