Starz's The Rook Chapter 1

I read the book so I decided to watch the show. I'm not a big fan of the book but I enjoyed reading the world building and the organization. There is none of that in the show. The book is a fantasy thrller but the show look like it's just another spy show.

I'm judging this solely on episode 1. Maybe the show will explore more on the world later in the next episodes.

I want the show to feel like a fantasy show not spy thriller or superhero. I hope I misinterpreted the first episode. One thing that pisses me off is, WHERE THE FUCK IS BISHOP ALRICH?

He's my favorite character in the book goddammit.

Starz's The Rook Chapter 2

I gave this show a chance. I hope the quality will be better this episode but I was wrong. The first episode is better than episode 2.

What is the story here. Too much going on and the worst part is none of the plot in the book appears in the show.

I have no idea what the show trying to tell the audiences. This show is a mess.

This show supposed to have fantasy elements but I just can't see it. Where's everybody powers? Where's the threat? So the show only gonna focus about a mystery surrounding Myfanwy Thomas?

Yeah I'm done with this show. Oh before I forget..
