Character Design:
Alsie
Alsie’s name means strong willed.
I saw the rising transphobia here in the UK and in other countries and wanted to do something!
So I made one of my characters an FTM trans woman 🏳️⚧️.
I made it so the story focuses on all my characters and their development instead of questioning why Alsie is trans.
Mostly because the character Alsie (as well as the others) are more than just their gender identity.

Life is not fair nor is it fun unless you make it so. I can't make my life fun. It's too hard. It's hard to exist. I can't stop thinking about death. It's scary. Please help. ~ Alsie
Hi dearie. Life isn't fair all the time, so I guess you're partially right. Life can be fair or unfair depending you your situation & quite a lot of other things actually. But I promise you the life is fun. You don't have to make life fun, you just have to notice life is fun. Existence is hard, I'm not going to lie & say that it isn't but it is also worth it. Life is crazy & beautiful & amazing & sometimes our illnesses may bid us to that fact. But dearie, there isn't much we can do. You need to help yourself, we can offer you advice & support but this is your journey & you know best how to get through it. Try thinking more positivity. Don't think about "omg it's raining I hate this everything is so hard" try and think "Oh, its raining? I'm going to run around outside & save some worms!" (Not even kidding, this cheered me up a lot even though it seems weird. You're saving lives, and a life is a life no matter how small!) Life is journey dear, enjoy it the best you can. I promise you that as soon as you start changing your mind about how life is, you will became a million times happier.Blessed be--Megan
This is Alsie, or not exactly. I'm her host. My other personalities drew me out. They told me about the things that I have promised to do and made me realize that I can't hide forever. Alexandria, thank you for talking to Alsie. ~ Alsie
Hello lovely,
I am so, so glad to hear this! I want you to know that we're always here for you, and Alsie, at any time that you need us. Keep fighting, lovely, you can do this.
Take care,Alexandria.
I miss feeling like me. I miss feeling real. I hate wearing this mask but I can't take it off. School is making me feel even more fake because I never use my normal voice. I'm so fake at school and it makes me just as bad as the others. Help? ~ Alsie
Hello Alsie,
What are your barriers to taking this mask off? What is making you feel like you can't take it off? I want you to really think about those things, and maybe write some ideas down. Even journalling can be a good way to explore these thoughts and how you're truly feeling towards something. I think it's important to explore those things, because you can't change things until you know what needs to change. If you're able to come up with some ideas on what's holding you back from being you, it may help you to find a direction to go to start feeling more you.
Working with a therapist on these feelings may also be a good idea. I know that's hard when you feel like you can't outwardly show who you are, but if you approach your doctor or school counsellor and let them know that you're having trouble breaking free of this mask that you're putting on, they'll be able to help you find ways to crack it. With professional help, you can explore those thoughts, as well as ways to work around them so that you can be yourself again.
If you can find which thoughts are holding you back from being you, do come back and talk with us about it, or contact a Helpline or Web Counsellor, so that we (or they) can help you further through this.
Take care,Alexandria.
