as a heads up it's a character x character fic (megumi x sukuna to be more specific) not a reader x character, so apologies if that isn't your cup of tea.

I exclusively write x reader content currently but i read both and really enjoy both!!

anyway the fic is called Eternity Enshrined

it's 15 chapters and completed. you can read the summary and fic at the above link. the author even has a cute little afterwards on their ao3 where they discuss the themes/motifs/inspo behind the story. i am heavily considering making an ao3 or burner twt to message them or leave a kudos because it was soooo good (the only fandom space i exist on is tumblr lol)

1 year: She was only a baby, but she sort of understood. Dad was gone because of Cell and now Mom was gone too. Gohan was upset about it the most and had stopped trying to explain what it meant to her. They had to look after Goten now so Ashley had to help her big brother. They had refused the others’ help and now lived in the house alone. Grandpa and some of the others came by once in awhile to check on them but, she was taking good care of her big brother and little brother! Surely Mommy would be proud of her.

5 years: 7 years old now, Ashley kept a firm “I’m in charge” attitude, even if Gohan technically was in charge of them. She kept Goten (mostly) out of trouble, learned to make all their meals and, according to Bulma, was very grown up for her age. She was doing all she could to be just like Mommy and keep the boys in line. Ashley might not be the center pillar of their lies, but she was support for the one who was.

10 years: Being 12 was hard. Dad was back through some convoluted magic-y stuff so at least they had one parent now. But still, Ashley still kept order in the house now that Gohan was married with his own baby, too busy with his own life to manage theirs. so she made meals, cleaned house, everything she remembered Mom doing. she still found time to train with Daddy and Goten, and still be able to hang out with Trunks and do all the other things gohan said was normal for kids her age.

She still missed Mom, but... they would manage, that’s what she’d want for them, right?
