Feel like not enough people are talking about the fact that "It lives beneath" takes place during summer 2020.
Anything (Chapter 6, Final Chapter) - Nik Ryder x f!MC
Summary: After surviving an attempt on her life, she discovers there are worse fates than dying. And they’re all ice cold.
Warnings for this chapter: implied (off-screen) N*FW, discussions of trauma and therapy, a short tid bit at the end involving animal violence/death, and plenty of fluff and other domestic stuff

One year later…
Nothing.
Nothing.
‘Everything.’ Leah thought fondly as she sleepily stared at the man sleeping next to her. Thin rays of golden light trailed through the spaces between the blinds of the window facing the bed, making the man in question flutter his eyes open. She smiled brightly and moved closer until she was snuggled close to him, and he lazily wrapped an arm around her.

I binge-read the whole series today and I loved it so so much!!! Seeing Leah grown from being in Wyoming to being happy with Nik, its just really everything!! The ending was beautiful and everything about this is amazing!!!! I LOVED IT!! Thank you for this beautiful read!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜
🥺🥺🥺 omg what a treat to get a comment like this unexpectedly!! I’m so happy you enjoyed it, and thank you so much for reading and saying that 💗💗💗
shameless plug: would you like to be added to the tag list for the sequel to this fic that I’m currently working on? ☺️
Nightbound was ended because of lack of money, Platinum ended because of legal issues, MOTY ended because sometimes stories are finished and the archs are fully developed. Stop bringing these books up to justify your own opinions, your taste is not refined nor superior. It's just that; an opinion. You can enjoy whatever you like, let others do the same.
Ahhhh! Had the lovely opportunity to commission the even lovelier @bunabi for this piece featuring my Nightbound MC, Charlotte “Charlie” DuPont!!!
The piece is a gift to myself for reaching 2019′s NaNoWriMo goal of 50k words towards a fanfic in which Charlie stars and I am sososososo happy with how this entire piece turned out!!! I highly recommend going for a slot when @bunabi opens up commissions again!!!

though I hate that Nia was taken away, i LOVE that when aerin needed a super powerful vessel for the dreadlord, NIA is the First Choice. UGH HER POWER 🥺
So if Aerin was wanting to kill his brother for 20 years and tbh I doubt he’s older than early-mid twenties, can we safely assume that he started getting corrupted when he was pretty much a toddler/very small child? Because that’s fucked up that (1) a child could feel so unloved that they can turn to evil at such a young age and (2) he spent the majority of his life scheming and working for the Shadow Court. We all guessed he would betray us (which, by the way, being able to predict a plot point doesn’t take away the fact that it was well-executed and just shows that their foreshadowing was effective), but I don’t think anyone could have predicted that he was corrupted from such a young age. I love this book!
So I am not sure he has been corrupted for that long, but I think his hatred of Baldur started then. I think Baldur basically tortured him from the time they were small with their parents casting a blind away (possibly even encouraging it) and that is what created the anger and resentment in Aerin that turned him towards the Shadow Court. I think his hatred for Baldur came first and then gave the Shadow court an opening.
Yeah I wasn’t sure how to interpret that comment about him waiting 20 years to kill his brother. I definitely agree that his hatred for Baldur started at a very young age. The philosophical debate about the actual existence of the Light from the last chapter also make me wonder if the book is heading towards a storyline where the nature of corruption itself is explored. Like they’ve stated before that the Shadow Court preys on those who are weak-minded, but what if the process of corruption and doing bad things (that are seemingly out of the person’s control, which is a debate itself in real life) aren’t exactly what we think it is? I’m just rambling at this point. Anyway, thanks for engaging with me about my non-sensical musings!

I’ve decided to use this quarantine to (try and) learn how to draw and when I saw this post I knew I had to give it a try. So here is corrupted Nia for y'all.
Please keep in mind I’ve started to draw less than a month ago, so obviously it’s not perfect but I’m proud of it regardless. The separate drawings are under the cut. Tumblr loves to kill the quality of any images, click on it for better quality.

the shadows never shined so brightly
I was willing to do this since the moment I stopped crying after Nia was taken. Then I saw @choicesarehard post and it felt like it was Jesus saying that I should stop being lazy, get my butt out of my bed and start working. And I liked it! I feel like I made a pretty good job and am very proud. (This is like, the first fanart that I posted here that gave me a lot of trouble, I love/hate Nia's hair and dress)

i just. love the heartbreak of having an elf MC and romancing one of the human LIs
like. just knowing that they'll be happy together for a time, deliriously so, and then one morning they'll wake up entwined as they always do, and notice the faint beginnings of creases at the corners of the LI's eyes
thinking about how the first few strands of silver will go unmentioned, until there's no color but silver left
how it'll be impossible to not notice the loss of strength, of youth, of vitality as the LI succumbs to time
how the MC will bury their love, their brother, their friends, and watch the world change with the ones they have left
i just. LOVE thinking about this so much
the MC living long enough that they begin to forget the sound of the LI's voice, the color of their eyes, the curve of their smile
the MC returning, over a century later, to the quiet cottage where they lived together, only to find that it's long since been torn down, demolished to make way for a bustling, unfamiliar town that grew in its place
the MC being so afraid that their LI will be lost to history, remembered by no one but them, and doing their best to keep their memory alive in a world that's long since moved on
Nia has left the party...
