The Hero of the Wild is called for a second adventure.

(This is a one-shot Wild PoV, I will write Wind’s PoV later!)

Wild set the firewood up to evenly heat his pan. Most of the group was setting up bedrolls, debating if the weather necessitated tents.

“I’m just saying, it looks like it’s going to rain. We don’t want to wait till it starts to put a tent up.” Warriors looked at the sky critically. “I know it’s extra work, but we can’t afford to get sick.”

“A tent is too much. If we get attacked a tent can tangle up and get in the way.” Legend made a face. “We can just hang a tarp overhead. That’ll stop most of it.”

“And besides, it’s hot!” Wind made a face. “Tents get stuffy way too fast, especially when Time eats spicy food and starts—“

“We don’t have a big enough tarp to cover everyone.” Warriors cut Wind off smoothly. “And climbing the trees would be risky.”

Wild snickered from his impromptu kitchen. “For you, maybe.” He struck a flint, letting the arranged wood ignite. “Hey traveler, keep an eye on the fire for me while I show the captain how to properly climb.”

Hello!! Your art is so pretty!! Can I ask you what watercolour brand you use any tips on photographing/scanning your work?

Hello and thanks for this ask!

I use a real hodge podge of watercolor and gouache some of which is really old. When I've bought new paints for myself it's been a mix of Winsor & Newton (watercolor) and Arteza (gouache).

As for photography and scanning tips, I am still quite the novice especially when it comes to photography (I just use my phone). Best advice that comes to mind is to utilize natural lighting, overcast days are great, whenever possible.

For scanning my best advice is to have a go to software you're comfortable with for color tweaks (I use a really old Photoshop so I don't have to pay Adobe monthly, but there are good free programs out there too). My scanner is a Canon 9000F and is good, but not perfect so I always need to do some editing to my scans.

Also this might be a goblin answer, but I find my scans always come out noticeably better when I apply a little weight to the top of my scanner, either a stack of books, or just me leaning on it (it’s always me leaning on it, sorry not sorry scanner).
