I just saw Lils coming home with a black eye and some other bruises. She states she got it playing tennis, and she’s not particularly distressed about it, but I’m pretty sure that’s not normal for tennis.

Like I know a strategy to win at tennis is to hit directly at your opponent to prevent them from reacting properly, but it’s also considered unsporting to do so - not to mention I don’t think Lils has played tennis for more than three days if that.

Why would you use a strategy like that on a beginner? Not unless you were being an asshole.

I should be angrier honestly. Lils doesn’t really bruise or get hurt easily - I’ve seen her...well, a story for another time. In any case, I should be angrier, but as I’m watching Lils practice tennis using the plastic flower pots as target practice and visibly getting more and more accurate, I’m thinking I should be feeling sorry for the asshole instead.
