11 miles this morning that should have been great and were instead very very hard. Like "if I weren't running past the store where packet pickup for my 5k tomorrow is I would cut this down to 9 or 10" kind of hard. No real reason for it- the weather was gorgeous, it's one of my normal routes, I had fuel, I just couldn't get my head in the game. The first six were okay and then it got mentally tough- plus my calves and hamstrings were so tight and I was wiped out. But I finished, made it home, stretched, showered, and I'm going to foam roll, go get donuts on the advice of the ever wonderful @littlebean-jellybean, and nap before I get to go see one of my favorite bands with @kaburn, one of my most favorite people.
