100% autumn bliss. And T-3 until the next 26.2 🍁
Easy lil three miler this evening! Beautiful weather, light legs, and my matching game was on point 😏
::Positive vibes::negative splits:: Aka summer training pays off in the fall.
Ventura Half Marathon W15D4 Six Tempo miles. Disliked this run until I saw the splits. Hit 8:30 goal on the nose. It was hard. I'm tired and sluggish. As it should be this late in the training cycle. Top picture is a high school Surf Physical Ed class - beach life. In my day the best we had was indoor dodge ball on rainy days.
I was hungover and it was raining I mean it was never going to be amazing eh, I also looked too pale and rancid to take a selfie so I thought I would protect all of your eyes from seeing that
But bUT I bought a bath bomb from Lush this morning and it was the most glorious post run treat of all time
I went for a run today straight after work, which is why my steps are so high as I'm moving around quite a lot at work. I also walked a bit this morning with the dog and to the doctors.
So the path that I usually run on was closed today. I had to run on the path right next to a busy road, the one that leads into the city where I live😂 Oh dear lord that was not fun. It definitely made me run and not give up at any point though…. that lovely feeling of being watched! But!! Look at my time! I know it’s not amazingly quicker, but I tried to aim for pace rather than distance today! (Ahh well I’m proud of it even if no one else thinks it’s impressive!) I'm really trying my best and that's all I can do at this point until I can build up my endurance.
Edit: I forgot to say that I had to go to the doctors today to get a repeat proscription of my pill and whilst I was there I decided to weigh myself. I've actually gained 2kg recently. But I'm feeling really good about my body since I've started taking running more seriously. I've felt and measured thinner than I was before for example my waist was at 28 inches I'm now down to 25 inches. I'm never going to go back to what I was before when I had an eating disorder. But I'm happy and I don't even care about gaining the weight 😊
-I painted my nails dark for fall and I'm so so excited for sweaters and cold running. And I'm so excited to try the new almond milk pumpkin spice creamer. -I got this new lavender coat and I feel like a fricking star in it. -I am running a 10k in 2 weeks and I'm pretty nervous because I haven't really stuck to my plan very well but it will be fun and that's all I'm going to hope for. -I'm pretty much exhausted all the time because I'm working 2 jobs and trying to balance my friends and running and also trying to eat enough??? And wow it's so hard to do it all. -I got to see my bf this weekend and and my family so essentially it was a dream and we ate so much food and I went to lots of parties and just had fun.
