does anyone else find it deliciously horrifying how blasé filipe was about the prophecy in Liquidis?

He talks like he’s surprised to hear humans can’t live underwater. And when he learns that they cant hes like “well thats dumb :/” and shrugs it off. I know this was probably for a bit but like. The implications are something. Are other people this way? How many? How many undersea people have no idea what the consequences for flooding the earth are?

Everyones super excited about it, do they view the prophecy being fulfilled as like a “haha no more land! you guys didn’t need all that air anyway. lets hang out together now world peace!!” type situation and not a mass extinction second maybe only to the chicxulub impact. Do they just... not know?
