I am way too prepared to embrace dystopia. I really gotta keep that in check because our world has a lot of dystopic elements in it and they are not things I should be embracing.
Something about this indifferent intelligence controlling everything to the last detail just like speaks to me. I feel like "yes, i want that. pecuniam populo antepone. knowledge and power and money before all else." Glad I care about people a lot because if I didn't, I would... be happier and have more money probably. Give me a pleasant lie over the truth, give me money over people, give me power over mercy.
also when i see people suffering i do the most absurd mental gymnastics to find a way they could have prevented it. never mind that it could have been prevented if others had acted differently, it is about how they could have acted differently. hopefully that is out a sense of self preservation and not because i blame people for their misfortune but hey, who knows??
glad i believe actions are the only true measure of morality because otherwise i'd hate myself.
Funny thing happened to me today. . . i opened the front door to let my siblings in and there was a bobtail lizard sitting on the door mat, who then decided it wanted to come inside, hissed at me on the way, then literally ran into the study. . . i had to distract it with a shoe and grab it and place it back outside. . . all the while it was making noises at me like "how dare you pick me up i'm going to hiss at you with my large blue tongue sticking out". . .
