ONGOING TRANSMISSION // . . . @red9
It's always when he's trying to vacation when a crisis came in with it's comedic timing to snatch him right out of it. While it was difficult to leave, after making so many promises to Luis, devoting his time to be spent with his partner. It sparked an brief argument between them, one that was swiftly snuffed out. Didn't ease the dull throb in his chest as he left, however. Luis looked like that of a kicked pup. That silent plea for Leon to simply disobey his superiors. Stay with him. All too tempting it was--- but he couldn't have the U.S. government going on a manhunt for him. That didn't just put him on their shit list. It put Luis at risk of being found as well. The thought alone causes his stomach to twist. They've been doing so GOOD these past few years. Keeping everything secret. The distance was unbearable at times, but at least Luis was safe at the end of the day. Finally living that quiet life he very well deserved after everything he'd been through. And every visit beckoned him to never return back to the states, his lover all to eager for him to finally stop fighting.
One day, babe, it's the best he could answer. Once safe enough too. In the meantime Leon couldn't let that hard work go to waste because the government couldn't let him go yet. Had to run the dog short of its usefulness first.
Precious and expensive luggage is left behind at his lover's home just to prove a point of his return. Offering some assurance. He said it'd be a couple days at most, maybe half a week. But no longer than that. Or so he hopes. Not completely certain what he was getting into, and unwilling to disclose to much of that Hunnigan brief him on for the mission. Rather avoid upsetting his partner with details that didn't sound all too promising.
After the whole ordeal, and a mostly successful mission, the agent's lucky they're allowing him to return too his promised vacation. Claiming if he had the time ( which meant make the time ) to file his reports and send them in while he was away. Easiest thing he's had to do for his job.
"I told you it'd only be a few days." He attempted to sound optimistic as he greeted the man, exhaustion lingering in his tone. The agent looked a little rough for wear--- but nothing devastating. Arms lift to wrap around Luis' waist as lips press to his cheek, "They're extending my vacation to make up for lost time. They shouldn't call me back out. Not till I'm home... No more interruptions."
