Compare and contrast w/ John and Jake!
8x11 Review.
Aisha should direct like two or three episodes a season. She did an amazing job. The flow and transitions were great, the cast and blocking and how everything was filmed was excellent. Definitely classic 9-1-1 in a good way.
Bobby and his mom. So that was kind of a lot. But also I'm glad we didn't forget the brother and mom thread. Even if its weird she's some kind of healing con artist woman... but at least she believes what she's saying? That's probably worse though right?
We got to see Bobby and Athena's house progress. Season finale housewarming party?
I love Maddie's new hair. And she has a scar around her neck. I'm glad she was there for Buck and that she felt safe with him and Chim in the house. Protecting her and Jee in case something goes wrong.
Now. Let's get to the BuckTommy of it all.
Ok. So Ravi being so done with Buck was hilarious. I think its also so sad that once again Tommy was somewhere alone. The fact that he and Eddie didn't keep in touch after the break-up is so rough. Which only proves to me that Eddie is only friends with people when they do things for him. Buck was totally under the impression that Eddie and Tommy still talked. But they don't. I get Eddie has his own issues. But such a dick move.
Buck and Tommy hooking up was a delight to watch. Especially Buck plating on the wall there for a sec when Tommy's like wait, I know this place. Also, that tanktop pull. That was something.
Tommy was so sweet and so hopeful and they were on the edge of a real conversation before Buck put his foot in his mouth. And ouch. I get Buck was trying to say he's not attracted to Eddie. But that line was what hurt Tommy. Tommy is a lonely character and he was willing to try again. He put himself out there and was vulnerable with Buck, the way Buck was in 8x06. I will say this does seemingly lead to a reunion.
As for the Eddie of it all. There was no pondering, no hint that BUck needed to process anything, and the way he denied it was different from the way say Booth denied being in love with Brenan. This was simple. Like this is a silly notion, I can't believe you ever thought that. Oliver did say it was a ridiculous conversation. And I think he's right.
Buddie isn't happening for many reasons. If, as Tim said, we're supposed to let this episode speak for itself. It shows Buck is still in love with Tommy Tommy is 100% in love with Buck and Buck is not in love with Eddie. Because if it was just about closure and pointing Buck toward Eddie, there was no reason for a one night stand, no reason for this vulnerability with Tommy, and no reason for Tommy to suggest they get back together. I mean just objectively look at how Buck looks at Tommy alone. That tells you everything you need to know.
So somebody in a discord server I'm in absolutely galaxy brained and said that Logan should be the one with Freckles and round glasses so uhm...
