Do u have anatomy/proportion tips… you draw characters so skrunkly and like. good lmao
hmm one major tip i have for drawing proportions good is just to use A LOT of references. just generally becoming familiar with the way the bodies look and are shaped is superrrr helpful. idk if i have any other ones bc that’s mainly how i learned sorryyyyy
but once again: NEVER BE AFRAID OF REFERENCES!! they are your friend :)
OH I JUST REMEMBERED ANOTHER
okay so shapes are also an important thing to keep in mind. depending on your style, there are many ways that the shapes of the body can be drawn, but in the end, that’s all up to you. i’m being so unclear with this lol, but these are the kinds of shapes i’m talking about:
yk. like the ones people draw to draw the volumes of the torso and such. i don’t use this method often, but i do think it’s helpful for people to learn to be able to identify these kinds of shapes. even if your art style is one that is more cartoony, these types of volumes and shapes still come into play, so if it works for you, i highly recommend using this method. ESPECIALLY if you’re studying references. you can even trace these shapes over the reference if that’s what gives you a better understanding of it. just make sure you also practice it on your own after you draw the shapes over it.
alrighty. i don’t think i have any more anatomy/proportion tips so i hope this helps!! good luck anon :)
