Hi I'm Pip! I am an autistic trans artist (among other things...), this is where I do all my main interest posting and talking - come chat about stuff!

So in summation; Rowling demanded access to a woman’s time and when she couldn’t get it she retaliated by posting an upskirt image of her and called her fat, and some of her fans even went “I think I can see her genitals”.

She literally went “debate me! Debate me!” Over and over like the grifter she is and when she couldn’t get what she wanted and when “no” wasn’t enough she resorted to retaliatory sex-pestery, posting an image of somebody’s body with intention to shame and embarrass and spawn more waspish tittering from her internet followers.

Rowling is trash and this is disgraceful behavior, in case anyone has forgotten.

Honestly kind of surprising to see nothing on here about Develop: Brighton! It's massive for games devs from indie to AAA with a huge expo, showcases, and a pretty good number of (free!!) talks/roundtables going on. Mainly for networking obviously but it's just a no brainer to check it out if possible, even if you just say a little hello to people while looking at games and company works.

Seriously though when I checked the meetings site there was such a range of people going. Solo devs, content creators, investors, all sorts from all over. Plus it's literally at the coast what more could you want it's very pretty ALSO. THERE IS FREE ICE CREAM. yum

The way things intersect can be really really interesting, especially in regards to people and society and how we enforce certain ideals and norms. It's interesting! But it doesn't make the fighting about it any less heartbreaking. Been seeing some talk on my dash and it's weird to see someone else in a position you could've easily fallen into and you can understand why they're doing it but at the same time you just do not understand in the slightest. Do you ever get the urge to reach out to a stranger to find out how they got there? Ultimately I think it would be pointless since you can't change someone's worldview by insisting anything or making them feel interrogated, but it's still an interesting idea.

I don't think our past, especially traumas, should take the lead on how we interact with others. But I would be lying if I acted like that's easy to do. You really do have to put in the work to recognise that things can happen to you and you can grow past them without clutching onto that thing like a root and only growing within its confines. Maybe it was your entire world once but it doesn't have to be forever. It can inform your actions but don't let yourself be defined solely by your own suffering. Nothing good comes of it for you. You can move forward. I love you.
