Almost 20 years has passed since Alastor went away to fight in the (Un)holy War against the Angels. They had their legions of warriors as needed, each answering a necessary call to arms, as their magic alone doesn’t work against the white winglets. So they found a formula strong enough for the tools they use to be unbreakable…

Vox was feeling so alone in the vast city-kingdom. Their son, Telemox- an impish kid they adopted just 20ish years ago, has gone out to find his luck. He said he meant to search for Alastor, as he should’ve came back. The war was over almost 10 years ago. He might have to ask an oracle or something why his father, Alastor, is not yet home, if anything could have happened to him and how to find him…
He should come back soon. Meanwhile, Vox is busy weaving a wallcarpet of codes and circuits… Neon lines keep appearing, blues, yellows, greens, reds, purples, pinks, and other colors in between. They all draw a picture of the two holding something of great value. But as the night comes he breaks them away. One by one by one. He has weeks since this play of his. Then he feels whatever little surge of power coming back to him, giving him back part of his once held energy through the veins of his electrical currents. Just to not need to give into another’s hands the secrets of his codes that he kept away so well, only for him and his love to know. The secrets and all the power they have.
Apart from the codes he lost almost all his powers, the energy of the city was almost all drained to fight those damn angels from heaven. He could barely teleport and he decided he would rather walk instead. He couldn't be that irresponsible...
Vox is trying to cheer himself up while doing the wiring on and off by night, thinking it’s all games, just games.. a wireplay, after all, as he used to like em in the past.
Next he would like to press on the throats of the ‘suits of powers’ also called the suitors, those wires. But he has some better plans, luckily. But not for now.. For now he will be wiring and unwiring and rewiring day after day, ‘as he’d rather lie than allow them to think they’ve won’.
In the hallway behind the many monitors keeping him still safe from the predatory presence of the ‘suits of powers’ he hears their voices..
‘How long will it take?’ ‘We are sick of waiting!’ "We have come to take, not to wait! Loser, huh?” They shout and laugh, while enjoying all the spoils of the place..
“They grow impatient”, he thinks. “Maybe it is finally the time for the challenge I’ve arranged. Tho, I never thought that it would come to this…”
