I know they couldn’t, probably because of production reasons, but it would’ve been so cool if Voltron played around with the alien languages. Again there are probably reasons for why they didn’t but they could’ve at least given us some Tardis explanation that “Once a paladin bonds with their lion they automatically gain an understanding of all other languages” instead of having all the aliens speak perfect english(I mean they even had pidge attempt to learn altean in one episode??? The english language didn’t even exist 10,000 years ago what is the explanation for them speaking it?????).

But also it would be so cool to see something done with that.

The blades speaking a different form of Galra for security reasons. Keith knowing both forms of galra(or only knowing one and learning the other)

The galra language being the common language all species speak due to their native language being lost. (Allura and Coran meeting a species the alteans had relations with and speaking in said species’ native tongue only to learn that the language had been lost to time)

The altean colony speaking either galra(Allura and Coran realize that they are the only who know the altean language) or speaking a strange mic of galra and altean(Keith and allura bond over trying to decode what romelle is saying).

It would’ve been so interesting.

Love that Alteans r super similar to humans but I also want them to have like one (1) really fucked up thing that cannot compare to anything human.

And I'm not talking abt the color changing or height changing, that's still pretty normal as far as I'm concerned.

I'm talking abt, like...they can fake their deaths by breaking their own bones or smth. Or single Alteans will kill the children of widows just so they can hook up with them (like dolphins do). Or they have a specific organ that will explode if they do smth wrong
