We have lactose intolerance probably in DNA, we have a biological sister who is also lactose intolerant but on a more severe level than us. Or maybe it's just general digestion problems, she has general issues even when it's not milk.
Yeah. Yeah it's probably general digestion.
Lactose aside, we don't actually eat tomatoes whole. That I do know is a texture thing, as we have no problem with our bio father's tomato salad (it's more of a dressing honestly if we acknowledge solidity, but god damn it's super simple and just *so* tasty).
How are you guys anyway? Ik technically speaking there was smth about a break but currently I'm babysitting bio baby sis so even if I wanted to study I couldn't, not to mention that conversation keeps me semi grounded so that's super good for us considering it's 11PM
Actually, we're struggling a lot.
Like, in simple terms, it just comes down to the economy here is failing and the government is shut down and politics are becoming increasingly more hostile. We can't make rent without the help of parents, SNAP food benefits will be shut down after we get our first month's payment, Voc Rehab could normally help with medical expenses but the shutdown means they have no budget, and Lizzy is extremely depressed, down to not planning for the future because they don't expect to make it very far anymore.
Our right to freedom of speech as a country has been revoked, all medical insurance has just tripled in cost, meaning once we age out of our parents' insurance we just. won't have insurance, mentally ill people are being institutionalized for no good reason, LGBT+ people are being labeled dangerous and clinically unwell, jobs claim to be hiring but turn down everyone and overwork their staff, not to mention that for the first time in a very long time there are fewer jobs available than unemployed people, the government is making it legal to refuse medical help to women if they're pregnant, just on and on and on. We're being made illegal just for existing, and it's scary to be here.
We're dog sitting right now, and that's nice, plus looking forward to Hazbin Hotel season 2. We were also able to start using a rollator, and we're getting a lot of important appointments out of the way, but that's kinda all we really got going
