Other Names: Altera, Sefar, The Scourge of God, Destroyer of Civilization, Etzel, King of Combat, Great King of Destruction
Potential Classes: Saber, Archer
Attribute: Earth
Region: Middle Asia - Europe
Source: History
Height/Weight: 160cm, 48kg
Alignment: Chaotic-Neutral
Gender: Female
The Hunnic leader of a grand empire spanning across Western Asia to Russia, Eastern Europe, and even Gaul. One of the greatest conquering kings in history, alongside Genghis Khan and Alexander the Great, who used her knowledge and learned education of combat and politics, as well as her raw ambition to strike fear in even the Roman Empire.
Tales of her cruelty spread quickly across the land, her origins disparate and mysterious. It is said that "the grass never grew on the spot where [his] horse had trod”, and that she had slaughtered her own brother for power, cementing her in history forever as a ‘tyrant’. As a leader of the Huns, her warriors were best known for their combat skill while on horseback, cementing themselves as the ‘apex of equestrian warfare’.
While a terrifying force of nature to those that opposed her, she was known to be a fair and just ruler to those that were under her- as long as they did not pose a threat to her growing power. A Servant that truly embodies the ‘destruction of civilization’, but also embodies the value of ‘change through combat’, an existence that adopted the nomadic nature of the Huns and purely lives to disrupt and augment the very idea of a status quo.
Unlike her incarnation as a Saber, which represents the ‘Scourge of God that fell from the Stars’, her summoning as a Rider represents the ‘Scourge of God that rode across the plains’, the figure that was burned into the hearts and minds of the European empires that dared to oppose her. However, this means that the two Attila’s are two ‘different existences’. To the Saber ‘Altera’, her memories of the plains are nothing more than a distant, pleasant dream. However, to the Rider ‘Attila’, her memories of the distant stars are nothing more than a ‘vague, nostalgic haze’.
An ‘Altera’ that chooses to live purely as a human, filled to the brim with vices and flaws, and yet finding a level of happiness in doing so that leaves her Saber self envious.
“Altera…? A name like that… it’s too ‘cute’ for a king, don’t you think?”

Personality:
On the surface, she is cold-hearted and cruel, with a stoic demeanor and a poor aptitude for conversation. At that extent, she does not seem that much different than her Saber incarnation, however their ideals are where the two Servants begin to split.
Though it is true that Attila seemed to completely lack emotions while she was alive, there was one emotion that seemed to stir consistently within her: Frustration. With no knowledge of her past or her purpose, she was taken in by the Huns on Earth and raised as one of their own with no sense of suspicion, hatred, or ostracization. A foreign being that was taken in with nothing but kindness, and raised as a child of royalty. That ‘kindness’ being something that the extraterrestrial machine known once as ‘Sefar’ would never be able to properly understand, and so she returned the kindness of her parents and teachers with a simple creed.
“Live and destroy. Live and conquer. As long as I live, that is the only way I can repay you.”
This was not a declaration of love, rather it was a simple fact of life. By fighting and conquering and showing the might of the people that had taken her in, she would honor the legacies of those that had come before her and saved her life. She knew nothing but destruction, and so could only operate within the realm of ‘combat and destruction’. However, as a Servant who seemed to have developed- or perhaps awakened- emotions that didn’t seem present during her lifetime, she looks back on her history with a new lens. Not only regret, but pride and accomplishment as well for how she was able to burn the name of the Huns into the annals of history.
While her combat prowess was known, her political strength was also a large boon from her. Able to use persistent negotiation tactics and cunning, her intelligence and ambition made her just as dangerous as her warriors, becoming known as a great king who desired wealth all throughout Europe. Though her desire for monetary wealth was less of a sign of ‘greed’, and more as a result of ‘status’. Humans are creatures that desire, and so she emulated that behavior and incorporated it into her campaigns, though perhaps she incorporated it too successfully.
While the ‘Saber Altera’ will quietly take advice from her Master, acting more as a ‘tool’ rather than a ‘soldier’- the ‘Rider Attila’ sees herself more as a ‘commander’ with her Master acting as an advisor. With that being said, any command from her Master will be treated as a suggestion rather than an order, and she’ll hold no hesitation with criticizing or going against any move that she sees as a potential tactical flaw.
Class Skills:
Magic Resistance (C Rank): Cancel spells with a chant below two verses. Cannot defend against magecraft on the level of greater magecraft and Greater Rituals.
Riding (A+ Rank): This skill permits the bearer to mount any creature except for those of Phantasmal Beast or Divine Beast rank. Her combat efficiency increases when fighting on horseback.
Divinity (D Rank): The measure of one's Divine Spirit aptitude. Attila has no blood ties to Divine Spirits, but the story of how she conquered Europe is etched into the annals of mythology. In life, she was feared as "Divine Punishment" and "The Scourge of God," earning her a high rank of Divinity as a Heroic Spirit. However, as she sees herself less as a ‘force of nature’ and more as a human, her Divinity has been reduced drastically.
Civilization Erosion (EX Rank): A subconsciously active Skill of the Heroic Spirit Attila. Anything in Attila's grasp is transformed into its best form currently most suited for herself. This is based on Attila's own perspective, not necessarily reflecting the object at its greatest or most excellent. While in her other manifestations this would mean that anything within Attila's grasp is transformed into the Photon Ray sword, this skill as a Rider acts similarly to Sir Lancelot’s ‘Knight of Owner’, turning any weapon in her grasp into a ‘pseudo-Noble Phantasm best suited for victory’, giving the weapon the properties of a C-Rank Noble Phantasm. Only if she feels the weapon is truly worthy will it manifest into a reflection of the ‘Sword of Mars’.
Personal Skills:
Natural Body (C Rank): Having possession of a perfect body as a living being since birth, Altera has access to this Skill. She can temporarily rank up her Strength. Furthermore, no matter how many calories she ingests, her body shape will not change. For the sake of herself and her armies, she still finds herself training even with a 'perfect body', not wanting to fall complacent.
Tactics (A Rank): An instinctive capacity for utilizing tactical knowledge in battles where many are mobilized. Provides a plus modifier at the time of using one’s own Anti-Army Noble Phantasm or when dealing with an opposing Anti-Army Noble Phantasm. Her teachings from her uncles Octar and Rugila, as well as her battle experience, made her a truly terrifying tactical force.
Crest of the Star (EX Rank): A unique pattern engraved on Altera's body that is neither ceremonial or Hunnic in nature. By channeling Magical Energy through the pattern, she is able to temporarily imbue herself with great power. This skill is sealed as a Rider, only unleashed 'when absolutely needed'. Whether this is a result of ignorance and arrogance is hard to tell.
Noble Phantasms:
“March of the Nomadic Empire” - Hunların İstilası
EX Rank
Anti-Civilization
A grand manifestation of the equestrian Hunnic warriors that caused fear in the hearts of many. The genuine manifestation of an ‘anti-empire, anti-civilization’ Noble Phantasm that appears in the form of a massive army, sitting upon spectral steeds and wielding their lethal curved bows that ravaged the European countryside.
At the front of this massive army is the lone figure of ‘Attila the Hun’, sitting upon a steed that resembles the burning horse Phlogeus that once belonged to the God of War.
Those that find themselves trampled by this barrage of phantom soldiers will be ‘critically debuffed’, lessening the effectiveness of ‘support type’ skills and Noble Phantasms used on them and inflicted with a sense of panic and terror.
In order to conserve magical energy, she can simply summon her mount alone. While the strength and the range of the Noble Phantasm suffers, the ‘debuff’ remains, as Attila herself made it so the grass would never grow again on the lands that she razed.
War God's Sword - Photon Ray
A-Rank
Anti-Army
The unleashed power of the Sword of Mars, the sword of Atilla which is shaped like a longsword while also bearing a "somewhat futuristic design." While speculated to be formed from the combination of "the prowess and terror that led to her being feared as the ‘Divine Punishment’ and ‘The Scourge of God’" and the "anecdote about her obtaining the ‘Sword of Mars’", the sword is not a power originating from Altera or her origins in Velber but is instead the sword of the original God of War whom Attila defeated. It is also the prototype of Divine Constructs.
The "blade" of the sword, formed of tri-colored bands of light, is believed to be capable of destroying "any and all existence" on Earth. When its True Name is released, Attila charges at and extensively annihilates the enemy camp while crossing over it like a shooting star with the "blade" projecting mana with a rainbow-like light. Upon unleashing its true power, both its rank and type classification as a Noble Phantasm increases.
Star of Tears, War God's Sword - Teardrop Photon Ray
A++ Rank
Anti-Army/Anti-Fortress
The enhanced version of the original Photon Ray Noble Phantasm and the true power possessed by the Sword of Mars.
The sword of light is, in actuality, nothing but some sort of laser pointer that designates the attack spot. Simultaneously as its True Name is unleashed, a giant light pillar (the real Photon Ray) thrusts itself in against Attila's designated spot from the distant skies above, annihilating a wide area. It's, so to speak, a orbiting satellite laser attack. Because of this property of causing an attack from above, it is useful for attacking strongholds.
When invoking this Noble Phantasm, Altera is actually establishing a connection with the God of War Mars (Ares). Due to her actions as the White Titan 14,000 years ago, Mars loathes Altera more than anyone else and upon recognizing the connection, he would unleash Photon Ray, his light of authority, towards her. Altera’s usage of mana for this Noble Phantasm is to actually redirect that light of authority towards the designated spot of attack, costing a great deal of mana to redirect it.
As a Rider, this part of her Noble Phantasm is locked until she finds herself willing to unlock her 'Crest of the Stars' skill, with the locked skill essentially acting as a 'blind spot' for Mars, making him unable to properly target her.
Relationships:
Altera (Saber): The two don’t acknowledge one another, perhaps for the best.
Altera (Archer): There’s something annoying about her.
Kriemhild: The woman rumored to have killed Attila in several Germanic texts. While there is no outward aggression, there is a level of wariness from the King of Combat. She makes a point to warn her Master against receiving any food from Kriemhild regardless, as the taste may be a bit ‘too close to home’.
Brynhildr: A Servant that functions as a ‘younger sister’ of sorts. While their relationship seems distant at a glance, it seems as if they communicate best on the battlefield- either as allies, or as opponents.
Iskandar: A fellow conquering king. While she ultimately respects his might, she is certain that she is the stronger of the two. The two of them share a mutual interest in seeing which one of them would win should their armies clash- unfortunately, to pull off such a simulation would be a massive drain of magical energy.
Caesar: A fellow tactician. Their conversations end up starting off civilly before rapidly degrading into intense arguments.
Roman Emperor Servants: They have their uses, though it’s mainly through their wealth rather than their combat ability. Though some of them seem to be respectable as potential combatants. (Caesar, Charlemagne, Constantine)
Divine Spirits: They seem incredibly wary of her, while she seems to pay them no mind. There seems to be an odd amount of confidence despite her status as a ‘human Heroic Spirit’, and she seems confident that any of them would end up as dirt under her heel if they dared to cross her.
