Regrowth AU: What if the botfight lady (who lost) got altered though. She ends up on Abigail's regrowth team, which due to sheer chance is all women. Her transformation means that amongst other things she can now run on all fours and has a spine like a cat's. At first she doesn't do the all fours thing but after a few days in the regrowth team she goes 'ah screw it my hands are covered in dirt anyway' and she's SO FAST. She runs like a cheetah, ZOOM but she's exhausted after a minute.
Regrowth AU: People don’t care what is planted in the Wastelands. The ecosystem’s wrecked anyway. Annoyingly kudzu has a low magic tolerance so they can’t plant that because it turns into animate plant monsters and chases people until it seizes up and dies. So they have to plant other stuff. Tadashi, Wasabi, and Gogo usually plant edible stuff; the rest just plant anything they think might survive. They have equal plant survival rates.
I’m picturing that over time, as the regrowth project starts to take off and the teams become better at planting and fighting off the crazy monster plants in the wild, that they start friendly competitions.
Like, which team can plant the most in a week, which ones have the best plant survival rates, that kind of stuff.
Abigail’s team is really competitive because there are some that think they’re less good because they’re all women. Even though they’re one of the best teams out there. But their true rivals are the Nerd Herd, who are just as good as Abi’s team. It’s a friendly rivalry, but a rivalry all the same
Botfight lady and GoGo are epic rivals for speed. No one gets in their way when they’re speed-planting, because they will just get run over. No prisoners!
