the drink of the day is..
"White bread" kvass. Many of you europeans have heard of kvass I'm sure. I never had until I started working next to a Ukranian bakery. Tried it once and found it was horrible. Tasted like burnt tires really. Been shopping lately at a russian grocery. Just because it was " white bread " I bought it for a joke this time. Turns out it's not so bad. Not good enough to get often, but I'll try anything twice.
Ingredients include, but are not limited to.. Ready? Bread. Thus despite the label, it is white bread. Also vanilla, cinnamon, oak wood, raisins and apricots.
Product of lithuania. Interesting I can get a soda shipped all the way from Lithuania cheaper than I can buy a locally made coke.
