Homemade Buttery White Bread Delight Experience the joy of baking with this easy and delicious homemade white bread recipe that promises a soft, fluffy texture and rich buttery flavor. Ingredients: 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 packet (or 2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast 1 cup warm water (between 105°F and 115°F) 1/4 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature Instructions: 1. Combine Your Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and active dry yeast. This not only combines the ingredients but also aerates the flour for a fluffy texture. 2. Melted Butter Magic: In a separate bowl, whisk your room-temperature butter into the warm water. This infusion adds a delicious buttery flavor and softness to your bread. 3. The Dough Connection: Pour the buttery warm water into the flour mixture, mixing until you achieve a cohesive dough. This will be the base of your bread, so ensure it's blended well without overworking it. 4. Kneading to Perfection: Lightly flour a clean surface and knead the dough for about 5 to 7 minutes. This step is therapeutic and develops gluten, giving your bread a wonderful springy texture. 5. Let It Grow: Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl and cover it with plastic wrap. Set it in a warm spot to rise for about 1 hour, until it doubles in size, ensuring a soft and airy loaf. 6. Halve and Shape: After rising, punch down the dough to release air bubbles. Divide it into two equal portions and shape each into a loaf. Place them into greased 9×5-inch loaf pans. 7. Second Rise: Cover the loaf pans with plastic wrap again and let them rise in a warm area for about 30 minutes. This step is crucial for achieving a light, fluffy crumb. 8. Lets Get Baking!: Preheat your oven to 375°F. Once preheated, bake the loaves for 30-35 minutes, aiming for a golden-brown crust and an irresistible aroma. 9. Cool It Down: After baking, allow your loaves to cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely, though enjoying a warm slice is definitely encouraged!

Young Black Teenagers: “Tap The Bottle” (1992)
So I just learned that Young Black Teenagers (in which all members are white) are from Long Island, whom we don’t even mention or talk about. They were vetted by Public Enemy, Terminator X, and producer Hank Shocklee and only lasted throughout the first half of the Nineties. Aside from dedicating a single for the sole purpose of throwing darts at Madonna, their only claim to fame was the alcoholic-rap “Tap The Bottle”, a mix of boom-bap and three rapid-fire verses hat-tipping Black Sheep, A Tribe Called Quest, and knee-slapping 19th Century Christrian and Southern folk songs (“She’ll Be Comin' ‘Round Mountain” and “Oh, Susanna” for anyone who cares to know).
Young Black Teenagers ended in 1994 but one member’s career didn’t: DJ Skribble. Since then, he’s produced Wyclef Jean and Lauren Hill’s albums, released several mix albums, and produced many shows on MTV. Last we heard, he had a dee-jay residency in Las Vegas.
