Only because it’s you asking am I going to answer this with very little thought and with a bit of honesty.

The following fics are recommended not because I’ve re-read them and can confirm that I am proud of them. I’m recommending them purely on vibes I had writing them.

Fuck Regulus Black - Barty/Regulus : rivals to… sort of lovers. I got the shits with every HC that they’re friends and wrote a fic where they aren’t.

Monster - Remus Fest fic (no pairing) : totally gen. I wrote this for @wanderingdonut to fulfil a prompt they were gutted to not have the time to work on. I think it’s hilarious. I really enjoyed writing this.

Dance Little Liar - Remus/Sirius, Sirius/Barty : I’m fucking long term obsessed with this fic. It’s an FBI AU and it completely went off the rails. It’s on hiatus at the moment but I’ll come back to it when I’m finished with the other nonsense Im working on and it’s gonna be cooked.

Nightmare Summer Camp - I’m not going to lie this is like. The crown jewel of my accomplishments. It was written entirely with randomly generated prompts. It’s absolutely fucked. I was really proud that it came together as a semi cohesive fic. I love it. 10/10 vibes

Made to Bathe in the Light of the Moon - Regulus/James : I actually did re-read this one semi recently. Still slaps. (TW: hurt no comfort- im not sorry)

there is a tender thing sitting in the pit of you, and you’ve picked it into knots from the shame of being so soft. you’ve learned to hide in the fear of it, the vulnerable thing, the soul of you, that stirs when your heart goes gentle. you’ve learned to cover your chest with both of your palms, press down to make it go quiet. clasped your fingers over the small of its mouth and told it not to make a sound, not to give itself away. you see, every old lover has dug into you trying to teeth at it, every old lover wanted a taste of all of its light. every old lover has tried to split you open like carcass, turn you on your back and crack the soft cage of your bones. every old lover has heard the thing sing when they kissed you, and it sang so tender it made them swallow you whole. and so, you’ve learned to keep it still, keep it mute and unmoving. this heart of you, this thing with so much sound. this thing with songs that could force all the stone-men to their knees, if only they knew how to listen.

No options from which to choose.

“Take four, from the end.

When I’ve got nothing left to lose.”

I smiled my devils grin.

He came again at twenty four,

No one in his life to bring him light.

“Take another three from the times

When I’d just shiver in fear of the night.”

I smiled my devils grin.

Another visit came at thirty,

With a beautiful wife waiting for his return.  

“Give us a child to love, for five.  

From when age makes my bones burn.”

I smiled my devils grin.

Again, thirty five, hair growing gray.

He showed up at my door, his heart in his hands.

“Save my boy, for ten, oh God.

Save me from the end.”

I smiled my devils grin.

The last time he came, he was fourty six.

From illness, he wavered like foam.

“As many as it takes, let me stay.

Don’t rip me from my home.”

I smiled my devils grin.

“You might have seen more,

You might have seen it all.”

He moaned and screamed, the anguish pure.

Always, at my devil’s feet, they fall.
