This is me, just me. The only makeup I'm wearing is tinted lip balm. I also have tinted eyelashes because I'm often too lazy and tired to put on mascara every day, and I'm absolutely too lazy to take it off every night. But there is a bigger reason why I'm not wearing makeup for this shoot. I wanted to let the me I currently am show through. I'm enjoying seeing the little signs of aging. I don't feel any great need to hide them other than from media and advertising that I mostly ignore these days. I feel no great loss. And here is one of the major reasons working with Gianna is so special. At no point did I feel any less than glamorous and perfectly beautiful. She truly understood how I wanted to be seen and supported me all the way. I feel like we're on the same journey, just taking different vehicles. And just to be clear; I love makeup. This is the first image from my trip to Cleveland, visiting my favorite little pixie @kimberly_kaye! What an incredible trip. The #strength of Kim and her husband Ray is so inspiring, beautiful and raw. Their lives have been turned upside down and yet they persist through the pain and through the fear. They still manage to laugh, watch super hero movies, and invite their crazy photographer friend from NYC to visit. 😏 It's heartbreaking to see a #soulsister and Muse suffer, and if I could, I would take away all of her pain. Kim is a #boudwarrior beyond measure. Sharing her journey and looking *DAMN* fine while doing it, she took my breath away more times than I can count. Follow her journey and learn her story.
