Aalu Soyabean curry - a gravy based curry of Soya nuggets with cubed potatoes (or rather "mealmaker tarkari" as we used to call it) has been one of my most favourite dishes since childhood. In fact we used to call it "Kalija Tarkari" or "Kaleji Tarkari", owing to its close resemblance to the chicken liver. Like all other dishes, mummy was an expert in preparing the world's best Aalu Soyabean curry 😊😚 That taste still lingers on in my mouth as I recall those Sunday lunch scenes.
