there’s a certain freeness to being hyperfixated on something so long / getting a spinterest in something that makes fandom stuff so rewarding. When i first got into HZD / horizon in general i was very strict about what I liked and consumed but tbh ive gotten to the point i love most fandom ships they make for aloy atp (with notable exceptions for tildaloy and betaloy)
like- the potential is there for everything, friendship and romantic. I love everything about the characters in this game. Seyloy, my #1, are so deeply fond of one another and appreciate eachothers presence and motivations so clearly. Alvaloy is cute and they have a lot of common ground to stand on. Zoloy have a shared grief for someone they care about and a deep appreciation for the earth in their own ways. Ereloy is deeply tied with one another both in friendship and hardship, they compliment eachother well. Kotaloy is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and they both work together well as fighting companions. Varloy have known eachother since the start of Aloy’s journey and he has always seen the good in her when she didn’t see it in herself. Hawk and Thrush are eachothers ride or die and Talanah helped build Aloy into such a confident warrior. Hell, you can even throw in people like Ikrie or Varga, who have helped her along the way and have carried a deep appreciation for Aloy and her journey.
It’s just- everyone loves aloy. The whole point of the second game is aloy understanding she can save the earth with that love and accept the love from the people around her. The dlc is her romantic love and how that’s okay even in her situation. She is so beautifully tied to everyone around her it’s just UGHHH I love you aloy
