I love Grounded, especially the teen crew, and I think it’s not talked about enough that these kids are genuinely seeing dead bodies everywhere. Like the first game at least has skeletons of shrunken workers, rather than actual corpses, but the second game outright has frozen, beaten and dead Ominent workers on the ground. Seeing a body is already a terrifying experience, but already being in a stressful situation and being reminded you could die?? I’d croak simply from fear dude

fuck dude imagine being lisbert during the entirety of Bugsnax. you finally get to the island where everyone who’s ever gone to never returns and find an entire new type of animal there that tastes fuckin superb. Oops, they mutate your limbs into strawberry’s sometimes but that’s okay they’re great! Then you find out the group you went with is lowkey insane. Then your wife and you start fighting cause she’s working with the known crazy scientist. Then you discover a secret door at the top of the islands mountain, no clue how to work it. Then an avalanche happens and you get dragged underground. And then get filled with parasitic bugs trying to possess you.

Now you’ve taken minor control over the damn things as a weird food amalgam and come to realize that shit, I can’t get everyone away from this island because they too love these strange creatures.. in multiple ways. And then your reporter shows up and now you’re extra fucked because crap another person is here that can totally get themself killed by a stray bunger. Eventually after a horrifically long few weeks where you’re basically Bigfoot to these people they finally, /finally/ find you and oh crap your wife becomes an amalgam too and oh crap the islands exploding because it’s BUGSNAX and everything SUCKS and now you’re STUCK on an island made of PARASITES.

Horrible. I’d of jumped into the sea after a day of being the Bugsnax parliament.

for the record in case some people don’t understand what to do with this; the folder contains a project file which you’ll need to load with the Customisable player Models mod and then export into a usable model.

If what i just said makes 0 sense to you, just watch this video and skip to around 6 minutes in (or just watch the whole thing), it should hopefully clear things up.

And for those who ARE familiar with CPM, almost all the cube textures have custom per-face UVs so they might be a little confusing to read/edit lol sorry!

I’m currently writing a fic for HFW as practice to get me back into the swing of things, and I’ve come to realize just how much I love the Tall Beta headcannon. I love the idea that she’s just lanky and tall after living in space, even if it’s not entirely accurate, and I think it’s funny to write that she rivals these full grown adults in height while being significantly younger.

A bonus is that nobody knows this because her posture is atrocious. She’s shrimp style all the time so whenever she stretches out she’s suddenly like a solid foot taller.

A lot of artists / people I see who ship Agott and Coco often group them into a sort of teen-ish group of thought, which makes sense given they’re right at the cusp of the pre-teen age (and at that age kids often try to act older than they are), but it is /infinitely/ funnier to imagine two kids navigating their first ever crush and failing to do so.

You may think that narrows shipping tropes but it actually brings so many funnier ones to the table. Those kids are so focused on the fact their noses accidentally bumped eachother while they were talking close up and it’s just as scandalous as a little kiss on the cheek. Indirect kiss when Coco accidentally picks up Agotts spoon and now they’re /both/ ruminating over it. H*lding H*nds. It’s giving early Steven x Connie.

Spoilered outer wilds discussion below! Not very spoiler-y in terms of story but spoilered for planets I guess?

Something I’ve loved noticing when watching replays of Outer Wilds is the specific habits people have towards specific planets. Like- before someone figures out the game isn’t streamline, often I’ll see somebody pick one planet out of the sky to focus on for the next few loops, and keep coming back to that planet even when they can easily explore others. I see a lot of people focus on Ember Twin, as well as Giants Deep; but me, I wanted to focus on Brittle Hollow as my first loop I plummeted into a black hole and got way to curious on why.

There’s also an interesting phenomenon where people will straight up avoid a planet after one incident with it, or just completely not touch it because of its look / what they’ve heard. My dear IRL (if you’re reading this ILY!) refuses to touch Giants Deep because it’s scary and I can’t help but agree.

It’s definitely because I’ve slipped into that middle space where after finishing the game I crave the enjoyment of it again, but I love watching new people play the game and follow a pattern of funny incidents and grudges against floating planets in the sky. These planets don’t know what we’re scared of them! But we are! I still get the shivers thinking about Dark Bramble and then having to guide my now ex boyfriend (long story but hate his guts) through it because he never read anything in game. Hate that guy.
