Soul Fragment AU Part 3
In essence, it's an AU where Merlin has spent 1500 years completing quests to gather soul fragments and hasten Arthur's return.
I love the idea that Bradley's other characters act as Merlin's objectives, he saves them from their destined tragic ends.
Here is Varga's story(text from the painting):
He's the fragment who most resembles Arthur in appearance and is unique in every way.
The destiny he was supposed to meet was intercepted by Merlin before it even began. Unlike other fragments, he has no "death" point.
(The returning king only inherits memories related to Merlin up until the next fragment appears.)
He was still a fledgling "young" vampire when he appeared at the mansion in Brussels. Obviously, the blood of Magic itself was far more tempting than any other sustenance. He offered no resistance when Merlin took him away, practically raised by Merlin from "childhood."
His vampirism isn't magically induced but genetic, so 'sunlight is fatal and starve without blood' even magic can’t cure.
He’s likely the strongest among all fragments in physical ability, combat skills, and marksmanship.
When he learned about the other fragments, his attitude did a complete 180.
Now, during meals, he shoots his shot without restraint, pushing his luck, stepping over lines, and refusing to let Merlin leave.
But since he’s stuck underground and can’t get out, he’s long been kicked out of the group chat (though he doesn’t know it).
