Shy Little Blossom 🌸 (as Morpheus called her in Ensnared 😉)

So, after I made the picture of chibi Alyssa, I realised I didn't draw her lingerie quite correctly there. The design is right, but I reread that part of Ensnared and realised her whole lingerie is overlaid with gold lace, not just trimmed with it. So I needed to correct that. Plus, I thought it would be fun to make a realistic version along with the chibi one. Her pose is a bit different, though, to better fit my idea.

I often listen to lots of music in between drawing, and I feel like Wicked Game from Alyssa's official playlist (cover version Mimi Page) fits the mood of this part of the book and picture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwJhpdhyMXk

So, I completed this picture. Winter Fairy Tale ❄️❄️ I want to explain my thoughts on the idea a little, but I'll have to hide them under spoiler warning. *SPOILERS BELOW*

The story for the picture is this: It's around the time of the winter holidays, and it's Alyssa first year in Wonderland. And while they don't celebrate any of the human holidays in Wonderland, Morpheus decided to surprise Alyssa. He didn't tell her anything in advance, but conspired with Ivory to make her court look like winter Wonderland for the day (imagine, the REAL Winter Wonderland, literally). Ivory used her magic to call on the snow and ice, and made everything look pretty and glittery. And it's not really cold, just a bit chilly. They all had a little party, and this is an after party time, still at Ivory's court. Alyssa is somewhat pregnant, because I thought it's how it was - she came back to Wonderland either in late spring or in summer (because the roses in London were in bloom), so by the time of the winter holidays her pregnancy would show. I wish I could illustrate the whole story playing out in my head, like visual fan fiction, but it would take me until next winter to do it 😂 So this is just a little glimpse.

It's so perfect for Morpheus and Alyssa, for the moment when they were on the sun (particularly how it was described in Ensnared, that they could see each other's spirits, too, not just bodies).
