i think... after i read chamber of secrets (keep in mind i was like.. ten) i asked my mom if she thought harry and hermione were gonna end up together and she said "no, ginny." and i was like

mind!blown!

anyways from then on i kept waiting for more ginny appearances, but they didn't really happen... UNTIL, JUNE 21, 2003. picture it: midnight release of order of the phoenix, my mom and i waiting in line at walmart for six hours to get my book, me posted up on the couch at like 5:45am after reading all night... and it finally happens

What are your favourite pining!harry headcanons? I love pining!harry too.

my fav ones to think about are the common room ones.. like what was he doing when ginny and dean were laughing loudly two tables away, or putting together a game of exploding snap, or snogging in the corner.. did his eyes stray over to them every few moments? did he ignore them? or did he just walk right past and go straight up to bed? because he didn't want to see it? because it stung just a little bit too much...

once he realized he liked her, did he ever think she was fully over him? that she had moved on? and he'd missed his chance?

once her and dean had broken up, how many times did he almost cross that line between harmless banter and actual flirting? how many times did his eyes linger on hers just a little too long? how many times did hermione catch him watching her leave the dinner table?

In your opinion what Ginny smells in her amordentia? What smell is associated with Harry?

personally i write ginny to have three distinct smells: home, flying, & harry.

he's a bit of a workaholic so it's reasonable to assume he drinks his fair share of tea (caffeine) to stay focused. i imagine he has a slight bergamot smell to him from the earl grey he's compulsively drinking. i also write harry as having a few lingering habits from his days with the dursleys (because there are things that you just never outgrow) and one of them would be that the dursleys never let him use anything besides dime store soap.

and that's the story of how ginny's amortentia smells like irish spring.
