I was messaging with @rstarked about what they think Amafico does as a couple, and here's the result! It's a bit sketchy, I have a bad habbit of perfectionism, so I wanted to focus on getting this done, but I think that it still turned out cute. <3

The idea is that Amaya and Magnifico like taking walks in the gardens of Rosas, and Amaya would weave a flower crown from white roses. I think that Magnifico would be as proud as a peacock walking around with the crown on his head, but not before he repays the favour and braids some roses also into Amaya's braids.

Inspired by @queenamayasimp 's post on instagram. Amaya canonically has a freckle on her neck (or "neckle" as someone far more clever than me commented on ig). When she let's down her hair, there's a deeeefinite magnetism that attracts Magnifico to give kisses on her freckles. They remind him of constellations, and he'd also draw little zig zag figures on them with his fingers as they lie cuddling in bed together. Wholesome and in love <333

Amaya drawing practice. She was my favourite and she deserves more attention!

I am absolutely SEETHING with rage after watching the Wish movie. For fucks sake they did everyone so dirty. I thought the royals were so cute together, but NO. We can't have nice things apparently.

Disney has never been something I've been super into before, hence I wanted to practice a little. The characters can be so expressive compared to what I usually draw so I used an expression reference thing as an inspo source to get my hand used to drawing Amaya. My god, can you guess which three I don't like so much? xD But it's part of the process, lol anyway, I'll post one of Magnifico soon also.

(Btw in the #angry_wife one, Amaya is miffed with Magnifico who had fallen asleep on the desk in his study, and now in the morning he has a stiff neck and a horrible head ache. "I know you want to solve every issue immediately, but sometimes you just need to sleep on things to see them clearly again, and it's alright. But mi rey, just come to bed next time." -A

Here's Amaya and her dog Perrito from their fic "The Handsome Sorcerer" on Ao3. Seriously, go read it if you fancy an origin story for Amaya and Magnifico. I know, it only has one chapter thus far but their writing is so good and the premise is very interesting, I highly recommend it!

Slightly spoilery regarding the fic, so I'm making a cut:

I think Perrito is more of a serious dog than what this picture makes it seem. He is a stern protector but in case his lady (Amaya) is sad for any reason, but most often if her father has been drunk and got a bit violent, he will be Puppy to make her smile again. Such a good boy~💕

Who, what, why?

... were the questions in my head after leaving the Wish movie theater. Who the hell was responsible, what the absolute shit, and why can't you even trust a Disney movie nowadays, to be something nice to watch that leaves you feeling happy?

Briefly: Magnifico's character was botched. He's not a villain. Asha nor no one learned anything, no interesting character growth. Amaya's character was also ruined at the end because ??? The most solidly written character was Dahlia, and she's on the screen for like 5 minutes. So much potential ruined by bad choices.

This blog is for ranting about my frustrations but mostly art about Amaya x Magnifico. This movie has such a small online fandom, that I don't know if there's yet a common ship name for them, so I guess it's Amafico now.
