Today, September 23rd, 2017 marks the day AMAIZE first launched and honestly we can’t believe that a year has already gone by. It seems as if it was just yesterday when we were sitting, huddled around a table in our universities foodcourt, laptops and notebooks spread in disarray as we brainstormed themes, colour schemes, and what we wanted to call our future mag. Time is something that can easily slip away from you. Whether that be through moments of happiness and pleasure where time seems to lose itself all together, or where you may be fully aware of the passage of it but not as conscious of how you’re spending it.
For us, this past year has been a rollercoaster of some rough patches but mostly tremendous experiences and lovely memories. I guess you could even say AMAIZE has accomplished some pretty wonderful things this year and we’d like to thank you, the readers, for being a part of it all.
AMAIZE is something we are all very passionate about and really enjoy working on and to see other people show interest in it is something we never thought was truly possible. So we just want to say thank you — to you, our readers, for giving us the chance to express ourselves and our thoughts on a platform we have wanted to be a part of for so long. We want to thank every single contributor that’s ever sent something to our AMAIZE email, for wanting to share your work and for choosing our magazine to showcase it. We want to thank our lovely AMAIZE committee members who have been there to offer even more insight and inspiration to our mag. We are extremely excited for this upcoming year, we’ve got big things planned and we know that AMAIZE is only going to go up from here.
