So I’m trying to really improve on my coloring in 2016. And also I’m trying just to work harder on my art and get quicker, since I’m so very slow when I work. Things I’m apparently not working on, well crafted sentences! oof.

But seriously, coloring. @amanda-boucher has been so nice to me and is letting me practice on some of her amazing ink drawings! This was the first one I did. Which took around two hours from clean up to finish. The flats are what held me up the most on this one (I really loathe flats at times). But I think it came out pretty good! Colors done in Photoshop.

So I don’t think I ever shared anything from this on here. But I’m making a comic with amanda-boucher! Amanda is doing the AMAZING art and I’m writing it and making it nice and colorful! I’ve been slacking a bit on it, but I’m trying to work my butt off on it now. So hopefully we’ll have something nice and shiny for you one day. Thought I’d share this page, cause I really like and stuff.

Well this took a while to post. Oops :p This was my first collab with amanda-boucher!! I came up with the general concept, then Amanda made it better and did the amazing drawing. Then I went and colored it. All digitally done.

We did it for our good friends Dana (who is an awesome photographer, check him out danajquigleyphoto) and Kati! It’s their cat Scroobs on top of a cake, which actually didn’t end up being too far from the real thing!
