Favorite Scent

Prompt: Favorite Scent Flufftober day 3

Pair: Amanda Lean Canto x Reader

If someone were to ask Amanda what her favorite smell was before meeting you she’d probably say the beach. That the salty smell of the ocean and the sand was her favorite. Maybe she would say it was the smell of her childhood home or the smell of her favorite flowers.

But if someone asked her after she had met you she would answer with just your name. She wasn’t sure when it happened but slowly she fell in love with the smell of your favorite flowers, your favorite dish. She fell in love with the perfume you put on everyday and the shampoo and bodywash you would use. Slowly her favorite smell became everything you. 

She would find herself burying her face in your chest or stealing your hoodies, Spraying your favorite perfume on herself, cooking your favorite dish, and using your shampoo and body wash instead of her own. 

She would never admit that to you though. No, she was too embarrassed. She would use the cold as an excuse to have you close. If you asked her about the shampoo, body wash, or perfume she would say she wanted to try something different and liked it. If you asked about the hoodies she would answer with “yours are softer” which you knew was a lie because she liked to buy the ones that are fuzzy inside. But you knew the truth. And you had found yourself doing the same. 

If someone were to ask Amanda what her favorite smell was a couple years ago she would answer that you were. But now staring at the little family before her. As their adopted son and daughter ran from you in the yard as a little puppy chased behind she would have to say that this right here her home, her family, her children, and you. This was her favorite smell.
