If you want to hand deliver a query letter:

First of all, don’t.

Second of all, make sure you get the correct name of the company.

Third of all, don’t knock on the back door and scare the shit out of the assistant right there.

Fourth of all, if the assistant says they’ll deliver the letter, don’t ask if you could instead.

If you have to pitch a project via email to a company you have no connections to...

Make sure you don’t do any of the following things:

1.  Include a synopsis that is three pages long and only a single paragraph.

2.  Include an in-depth description of how the main character masturbates

3.  Make multiple references to different types of semen.
