@ the “what was it like being lgbt in your canon” ask
I was a transmasc and pansexual kid in Japan during the 1960’s, so you can probably imagine what it was like. I wasn’t exactly open about it, but people could tell anyways from how I tried to present myself and how I introduced myself as Yugi Amane instead of Yugi Hanako to new people I met sometimes. Of course, I was bullied heavily. My brother’s actions towards me didn’t help either.
After I became a ghost and stuck in my old school, the girls bathroom was my domain unfortunately, since I remember hiding in there from bullies and my brother a lot.
I’m happy I didn’t hate my birthname (Hanako) since that’s what everyone called me both before and after dying. My rumor spread around the school after I died and of course they thought I was a girl; all the other ghosts and supernaturals in the school were super understanding and supportive though, so that helped a lot with dealing with it! (Especially Tsuchigomori-sensei; he helped me as much as he could in life, and in death.)
You heard it here folks; supernaturals are better than living people most of the time lol! /hj
