"Diner food is my guilty pleasure anyway, so even if I didn't hear great things, I'd still be excited to eat," Albie admitted with a chuckle. He might have trained his entire life to prepare and serve high quality, Michelin star meals, but it didn't mean his standards were that high once the hunger bug bit.
He crinkled his nose in sympathy, barely glancing at the menu. He'd probably just get a coffee, not wanting, or needing, anything stronger. "I'm really sorry, is there anything I can do to help?" Albie was never one to pry, he hated people being in his business at the best of times, but even if it was just to lend an ear, not knowing if there was anything for him to do in a practical sense. "Life here's good," He said, genuine smile on his face. He was enjoying his job, he got to see Lorelai a lot more, and had made some solid friends here, the woman in front of him being no exception. "I'm starting to see why people stick around here."
