"It's a house party." He mumbled her words back to her, rolling his eyes as he did. In the past, Jaiden would've probably crashed thousands of parties like these, but that Jaiden seemed like a completely different person from the man standing next to Nadia and with a disgusted expression on his face to say the least. Jaiden eventually cave in, especially since he hadn't seen the younger woman in a while, and she seemed excited enough to be here, so yes, he could make a sacrifice. "Fine." Jaiden let out an overdramatic sigh and threw his arm over her shoulders, pulling her in to plant a kiss on top of her head. "Bet you fifty bucks I can steal that bottle of whiskey, though. You in?"
"Hosted by a guy with deep pockets." She only knew of such because they'd had a few moments of real conversation in between the physical aspects of their friendship or whatever one wanted to call it. Though, since crossing that line last, the two hadn't spoken. "Besides, I overheard someone say that he's got a ton of fun stuff around this place and doesn't care for people to use it." What fun stuff that was, she'd yet to figure out, but who was better company than Jaiden to do it? "I'm sorry, are you really asking me to bet against you? What do you take me for, Jai? Fine. If you're that strapped on cash. Fifty bucks says you get caught."
