2 - Mother
Send “Family Tree” + a question and I will shuffle and answer the question as my muse’s --mother--
Urania Brook was a humble woman, a tailor, a hard worker. She remembered very well the wars of the past, she remembered the way her own father had flinched whenever someone had mentioned water mages because everyone remembered the terrifying power those mages possessed.
No one wanted to enrage a water mage.
They were far too powerful.
And now, her little daughter — Priscilla, named after the character of a book, a name that meant ancient — was showing a power that should have died out. Urania was scared, scared of her own child —— and this was not right.
Mothers were not supposed to fear their daughters.
But she could not help herself. Her instincts and the experience of the past had taught her to fear those who heard the ocean’s songs —- and that Priscilla, sweet, innocent Priscilla, was panicking and so obviously not in control nearly made Urania think that they had been right.
That water mages were a threat.
Her husband moved from where he had stood, closer to the young child that likely had the power to kill them all. He had been the one to name her, the one to look at their newborn and to smile and say »I think, Urania, this one will be special … she deserves a special name … she will be strong and independent« and then, he had promised to always love, to always protect the little one.
Urania could not help but fear for her husband’s safety now.
»Priscilla, Cilla dear,« Andres said while Urania — not for the first time in her life — wished she had more courage. »C’mon, daughter, calm down … you will be fine. Breathe. In and out. Everyone —— take some steps back. She … doesn’t mean any harm.«
And then, Urania realised something.
Beneath his worry, beneath his instinctive fear, Andres was happy about this, was happy that their daughter was a mage because it meant that there might be a day when she could leave the poverty of their town and forge her own way. Each parent in their town wished for their children to have a better life than they ever had. Hopes that usually ended up shattered on the floor, there was hardly a way out. The entire region was poor and it was not easy to get a better job since the education in their part of the country was subpar.
Their daughter, at least, had a fair chance.
Natsu stormed into the guild hall and started to scan over the faces looking for one in particular-Gray. Thats when he met eyes with the rain woman who seemed to always be lurking behind almost more than his own shadow.
"Hey" he walked right up to the blue haired girl with no caution at all and began once again to look around, "Do you have any clue where Gray is?" He questioned a hint of anger obviously in his tone.
{ rampage meme } "Killing without reason...how petty...Juvia thought more of you."
On a murderous rampage my character has cornered yours. What does your character say in 10 words or less to try and save their skin?
Dark, merciless eyes bored into that of the young woman. The King of Hades was in no mood to listen to anyone. It seems that no-one could do their job of eliminating these pesky fairies, all except from Deliora of course. That information, however, was a little secret Mard was going to keep for a later date.
He punched the wall next to her head, cracking the wall as thorns rose from the ground, entangling around her neck, slowly tightening. Unfortunately for Juvia, she was the first fairy he’d come across meaning, she’d be the first that he’d personally slaughter.
"Mard Geer doesn’t care what an insignificant bluebottle thinks of him, especially when they have no-one to live for."
It would be cruel to explain what he meant but, even crueller to let her figure it out herself as she started to suffocate under the thorns. Mard mused as he watched her struggle. He imagined that it would be very painful, thorns digging into her neck, drawing blood and seeing it pour down her neck.
As much as he’d love to watch the lights go out of her dark blue eyes, he had other fairies to break. He turned his back to the water mage, walking away. However, he felt he needed to say one more thing before he left but, she’d find out when she meets him there.

{ why you make my heart hurt }
it actually wasn’t even my intention? Just … I don’t see her really getting rid of this part of herself. Ever. She never erased her guild mark, she can’t erase this part of her past because it’s one of the best.
