trying something new with amaryllis

🎁 - Amaryllis finds Alexander a little after lunch, a gift for him in hand.
They've spent the better part of the last few months working on the gift, a song, written just for him. Spent hours diligently studying the songbook he gifted them all those months ago, and spent even longer memorizing every note so that they'd be well equipped to create something inspired by the music of his childhood.
Though they aren't the most confident in their attempt to do so, at the end of the day Amaryllis just doesn't have the same ear for the style of music as Alexander does. They're anxious that what they've composed won't hold a candle to the real thing.
“Happy birthday, Sacha,” they say, uncharacteristically nervous as they hand over the wrapped, leather-bound pages.
Alexander is quiet for a long moment, running his fingers carefully over the cover. He opens the folio, and with the same delicate dexterity traces the stave with its meticulously inked notes. Under his breath, so quietly that Amaryllis only just hears it, he hums the melody as he reads, and with each phrase an inscrutable expression grows on his face. He finishes, then looks back up at Amaryllis, the unreadable set of his mouth and furrowed brows melting into a look that is a mix of awe, gratefulness, and admiration.
"Diolch," he breathes, "that is to say… thank you, Amie."
"You like it?"
Holding the folio in one hand, he takes their hand with his free one and brings it to his lips, kissing their fingertips before saying,
"I have never had a song made for me before. Especially not one like this. Perhaps… we may play it together?"
Amaryllis tilts their head slightly,
"It’s a song for you,"
"Aye… but it has you in it too, and for that I love it all the more. It is of us both; I would that it is as much ours as it is mine."
He offers them a smile, which they return. He kisses their hand again, then leans forward to press his lips to theirs. They linger for a moment before parting, and Amaryllis says,
"Fetch your harp then, mon astre."
Amaryllis belongs to @nvvermore
I am soooo happy with how this turned out :DDD
made a beamie meme @nvvermore fhfndndnd
As you may have guessed from the thumbnail we have some spicy material featuring @nvvermore‘s Amaryllis making a mess of Lake who definitely just got a jaw workout. Minors DNI this is 18+ spice.
[“what’s your biggest secret?” from the drunken confessions!!]
Amaryllis leans in closer to Khleo, nearly empty wine glass in one hand, the other drifting up to ghost fingers across her shoulder. “So tomcat, what’s your biggest secret?”
Khleo’s eyelids grow heavy as she inhales the wine floating over their painted lips. Her dark brown eyes closely track the path Amie’s fingers take over the curve of her freckled shoulder.
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” She hums before draining the rest of her beer. “I have a lot of secrets and all of them are pretty big, so...”
Amie pouts. “Not even going to try for me, tomcat?” They gently tug on one of Khleo’s stray curls.
The barhand considers for a moment before sliding their empty mug to the side.
“Okay. I’ll try.”
They bend their dark eyebrows in contemplation.
“My biggest secret.” She meets Amie’s genuinely curious gaze.
Khleo chews her lip in uncertainty before confessing, “I don’t think I can die.” She works her jaw as she thinks of a way to elaborate. “There’s a word for that, right?”

Send me a LI, character, OC or pairing, and I’ll write a couple of stanzas about them
