“Huh,” She commented, the gems words sitting in her head. It was a lot to take in, it reminded her of the world she knew so well. It all seemed so distant. How would the Homeworld look now? It was anyones guess.

“Do…you ever do anything for fun?” She questioned, tilting the head at the other. Ruby didn’t seem like the kind to have fun, but she couldn’t help but ask. This gem made her so curious. “Thats what I do,” She grinned, hopping up and kicking her hoop from her gem, grabbing it with quick hands.

Her weapon was used much more for her amusement than for fighting- which might explain why she’s so bad at it. She jumped  through her hoop as if it were a jump rope.

Was that a serrated hoop? Ru had see some odd weapons in the army but that one took the metaphorical cake. She wouldn't judge, sometimes the silliest looking weapons belonged to the deadliest gemkind.

“I wish I could say that I do.”

Fun was a human concept and one that Ruby had only seen from a distance. Sometimes it would be humans running around trying to catch each other, laugher echoing up into the air, their faces wide with smiles. Even if she knew how to have fun she doubted that she could make it last for longer than a second.

“They drill fun out of you in the army so they can fill you up with orders and propaganda. I wouldn't know how to have fun if you tried to teach me.”

A small noise was heard from behind the gem, and before they knew it, something had hit them and drenched them in water.

“Eeep!”

Uvite was startled and fell to the ground. Getting up a moment later, she turned around to see who threw the water on her.
