when you and ajax fight side by side, there's something akin to a gentle massacre : bloodstained hands / an exchange of knowing grins / the adrenaline of the battle. when you fight against each other, there is the known absence of blood. it's both bite and bark, dull edges of the blade against flesh in threat and lingering promise of something darker, something intimate.

his grin grows just a little wider, just a little more troublesome. but there's safety laced in it, and there's a love and devotion that you reciprocate in everlasting. his hands shift slightly, thumb tracing circles onto your skin, the other hand cradling the back of your head as he closes that distance between your lips.

"for you?" he murmurs, breathless and in love as he kisses you with reverence and fervor. "always."

I loved this moment when Varian wakes up to find he’s spent the whole night with his friends and they gave him the armchair when he fell asleep and took off his boots so he’d be comfortable and put a blanket over him 😭❤️

Bro’s a little shocked to figure out he finally trusts them enough to fall dead asleep around them (without one of the Brotherhood also being in the room, that is), and I just melted! Although, we were warned that this is the last fluff we’ll have for awhile… If you enjoy angst and haven’t read AMax’s fics, DO IT! They’re so amazing.
