Is amazon trying to force mobile users into using their app?
Full disclosure: i'm not a tech person and i'm very mistrusting of big corporations...
I switched to firefox and then duckduckgo and have been using it for years. I also uninstalled the amazon app years ago and used the mobile website (reluctantly, so please put down your pitchforks!). Months ago i got this message when i went to login (exactly the same as in this image so i felt no need to recreate it):
I freaked out and started logging in through firefox. Then today, same issue. I updated both apps and i still get the message.
I'm using an iphone and my phone is up to date. I see i can login with safari but i'm wondering how long that will be before i get the same message.
I'm curious what potential explanations are available. I looked online and saw stuff about certificates and other techy stuff. I wasn't using a vpn when i tried logging in either. And i don't have any add-ons in my mobile browsers.
