ZORRO VIVE - Zorro (2024, Amazon), episode 1.
Please reblog to spread the word: Zorro has returned!
I think one of the saddest things about the story of the new Zorro show is that both Diego and Nah-Lin both suffer from having the last of their family torn away from them and being consumed with grief and rage, yet none of them are able to comfort or help one-another due to their rivalry. It's even worse for Nah-Lin too, as Diego doesn't have anyone like Bernardo or Mei to comfort him, she only has her band of ever-shrinking warriors who support her, but do not comfort her grief at all
I just finished watching the Amazon Prime-branded Zorro series and, WOW! now that's a series like I haven't seen in far too long!
I admit that at first (when only the plot was known, or even when the trailer came out) I had "turned my nose up at it" - tied as I have always been to my first encounter with Zorro (the 1990 series) - instead... Instead, I followed each episode with bated breath.
And - no small feat - there was not a single dull episode - perhaps only an infinitesimal dip in the third one, which nonetheless goes completely unnoticed in the face of nine other practically perfect episodes.
I laughed (the interactions between Bernardo and Diego are chiefly responsible for this), I got angry (yes, Nah-Lil, I'm referring to you), I made theories and saw them all (even the ones that seemed to be well-established by now) get turned to dust... even the characters turned out to be the exact opposite of what I expected.
And now... now I have to wait (and hope!) for a second season to be filmed - because there are still too many things that didn't get a conclusion.
VOTE: 10/10

zorro quotes episode 2 inheritence
a collection of powerful quotes from the second episode that I really liked and wanted to use, somewhat, because they're incredible. Lovely amazing quotes.
nah-lin might dress like you, fight like you, but she's not you.
