Reconciliation // Amber and Lee
Taking a moment, Lee looked in the mirror and sighed, dropping her shoulders back. Her hair hung loosely around her face, and she was dressed casually, her expression neutral, though her eyes held a spark of sadness. But there was no way she was going to let anyone see that, because it was not letting that sensation and the ones threatening to expose themselves overwhelm her that was keeping her from snapping again. Turning around, she flicked off the light and wandered through the empty hallways and corridors, no sign of Bella in the house at all. Lee didn't let herself focus on this, since, maybe, just maybe, her mother wasn't gone. Instead, she made the trip over to Amber's house, thinking of as little as possible as she made her way up to the door and rang the bell. After the previous night, when Amber had been drunk and raging, accusing Lee of all sorts of things she was likely guilty of and telling her they'd never been friends, there was no guarantee how this was going to go, but she knew she had to somehow talk about that with her Italian friend, and yet avoid creating any potential greater conflict. The seconds seemed like minutes and hours and days as she waited for someone to arrive and open the door for her.
