the way brothers are fucking around and g puts out his cigarette on mikey (incorrectly, leaves a worse burn than is appropriate). wound gets so infected over the next week that he has to go to the er (it's hard to be sanitary while on tour), but he's really embarrassed that he let it get that bad. he doesn't want g to know how irresponsible he was with the wound care, so for once he tries to deal with it himself and just goes alone after a show.

all this bc i just really like the image of mikey sitting alone on a hospital bed feeling sorry for himself. and, combined with other signs, the doctors treating him like a potential dv victim, which would make him feel even lower, whether it's true or not

In an abstract sense? Everything defines who "you" are is, materially, part of your body. In that way, "your body" includes everything that defines you.

I don't think it's helpful to focus on bodies. But if you are who I think you are, with those little cat ears and that embodied depression and the occasional habit of saying words three times...I think you have a solution for that. And that's good!

But you don't need a fancy new body to give yourself a fancy new life.
